About Unlock PDF
What if I forgot the password?
This tool cannot crack or guess passwords. Enter the correct password for files that require one to open.
Is my password sent to a server?
No. Your file and password are processed only in your browser’s memory. The password is cleared on completion, cancellation or file replacement.
Will quality or selectable text be lost?
No. Pages are not converted to images and images are not recompressed. Text, links, bookmarks and forms are preserved.
Which lock types are supported?
Standard RC4-40, RC4-128, AES-128 and AES-256 (R6) encryption are supported. Usage restrictions on files that open without a password require your authorization confirmation. Unsupported types produce no output.
